LG PH510P Projector Review

A projector is one of the most versatile tools in your home theater. Projectors let you bring the big screen to life with just a small device that can be easily transported from room to room. They aren’t just limited to movies and sporting events; they can also be used for lectures, business meetings, or even parties. The LG PH510P is a great choice for anyone looking for an affordable portable projector. This model is small enough to take with you on vacation but still offers high quality images thanks to its brightness quality.

Brightness

The PH510P has a brightness of 1,600 lumens, which is more than enough for this size of projector. It’s not going to light up the room like a cinema screen but it will be bright enough to make your little film look great on the wall or ceiling.

The PH510P also has a 2D-to-3D conversion feature that allows you to project 3D content without glasses or any additional hardware required.

Picture Quality

The projector has a very good picture quality. It has a high contrast ratio and good brightness, which helps you get the best out of your home theater setup. Its color accuracy is also very good, giving you accurate colors with no noticeable artifacts or bleeding when watching movies or playing games on your laptop.

The black levels are also impressive, making it easy to see even in dimly lit rooms without having any visible loss in detail or shadow details like other projectors tend to do due to their native contrast ratios being less than ideal for home entertainment purposes (which isn’t necessarily bad).

Features

The PH510P comes with a built-in 10W speaker and a HDMI port, which you can use to connect your mobile device or computer. You also have the option of connecting a VGA cable if you want to use your own projector screen.

It also comes with two USB ports on top of that, allowing you to connect other devices such as an external hard drive or mouse/keyboard when playing games on this device.

The PH510P has 3D support so that it can be used as both a home theater system as well as for watching movies in 3D format (2D only).

Installation

The LG PH510P projector is easily portable, so you can take it with you wherever you go. This means that it’s ideal for use in classrooms, at home or in the office. You can also use it for presentations and movies—and even gaming!

Ease of use

Ease of use is a big part of any projector, and the LG PH510P excels in this category. Setup is incredibly easy; just plug it in, connect the HDMI cable and power cord, and you’re ready to go! You can also use the remote control on your phone or tablet if you need more convenience than that offered by the built-in buttons on the projector itself (although I found myself using my phone more than any other method).

The interface is intuitive and simple: there are only two menus—one for setup/maintenance mode, and one for viewing content—so getting started with this model should be fairly painless even if you aren’t familiar with projectors at all. Once connected physically via HDMI (or USB) connection between TV/Monitor pairings), everything else just works as intended: no special drivers required!

Durability

The PH510P is made of plastic, and it’s lightweight. It’s designed to be portable, so you won’t have any trouble trying to carry it around when you’re on the go. The projector has a carry handle that makes carrying it around even easier than usual!

Performance

The PH510P delivers on its promise of being a great performer for its size, with an impressive contrast ratio and wide viewing angle.

The IPS panel has a measured contrast ratio of 616:1 and supports 16-bit color depth. It also has a 2560 x 1080 resolution (Full HD) that makes it ideal for watching movies or playing games on the go.

The PH510P’s brightness rating is 1600 lumens, but we found that this projector could get pretty bright if you wanted it to—you just have to crank up the brightness control knob all the way up to achieve maximum brightness levels without any color cast or loss in detail quality.

Verdict

Overall, the LG PH510P is a great projector that offers good picture quality and features. It’s easy to use, portable and affordable.

The LG PH510P is a superb portable projector. It has a long-lasting battery, which makes it easy to use and install. You can watch movies on this projector without worrying about your power source running out of juice or having to recharge the device after an hour or so of use. The picture quality of the PH510P is also great, especially considering that it’s one of the cheapest projectors on our list at … see price on Amazon.

The only downside I can think of with this device is its durability—it’s not made out of metal like many other models we’ve reviewed here at Reviewed. However, if you’re looking for something cheap but still good enough for most purposes (and don’t mind replacing it once in awhile), then this might be perfect for you!
