Design:
The AuKing Mini Projector combined with the small size of 3.15 x 6.69 x 7.68 inches and 2.8lbs (1.30 kg) makes it small and light enough to be carried around. It comes with an instruction book, a remote, RC jacks, power cord and an HDMI cable.
Looking to the front of the projector you’ll find the lens being positioned off the center. On the top you’ll find focus wheel, navigation button. All the connection ports are located on the left side while the on the right side you’ll find projector’s power inlet. And, beneath the projector, you’ll find little legs and a fan.
Image Quality: Clarity and Brightness
The 2021 upgraded mini projector delivers 1080p resolution, which is impressive for its price range. Right off the bat, you can see clearer and vibrant images on the screen.
With 2600 lumens of brightness, it delivers 35 percent brighter images than other budget projectors. However, in ambient lightning the image would appear a little washed out.
The recommended lamp power is 3600 lumens to get good color accuracy, brightness and other image characteristics in ambient lightning. So, if you’re thinking of getting a proper cinematic experience, then it is suggested to run the projector in a dark room.
With a decent contrast ratio of 2000:1, the pictures will feel more immersive. It also offers long lamp life of 55,000 hours, that will last comfortably for 7-8 years.
Screen Size and Audio Quality:
The AuKing features a huge screen size up to 170 inches. The mini projector needs to be placed 5 m away from the screen to project at that size. The minimum display size of the projector is 32 inches and to project this small size onto the screen, the projector needs to be placed 1 m away from the screen.
The AuKing also comes with in-built speakers. However, don’t expect from this speaker to put much of a performance, we would recommend you to use external speakers for better experience. The speakers are loud but the quality and frequency depth is absent from it.
Connection:
The AuKing Mini Projector supports the majority of popular streaming apps including Prime Video, Disney + and HBO Max. You can easily connect your TV, computer and your cellphone using HDMI cable.
Also, you’ll need an extra HDMI adapter for connecting your smartphone to the projector. If you want to connect your device wirelessly, you’ll have to put a wireless connector to the type c, and then you could do it wirelessly to your smartphone.
However, with laptop it is a simple plug and play operation. You just have to connect one end to the projector and the other end to the laptop.
Consumer Impressions:
Most of the consumers seemed to be satisfied with AuKing’s projector, services and its features. They appreciated its picture quality, clarity and brightness at this budget price. The picture quality and brightness is decent if your room is dark enough. The two downsides consumers complained about was the fan’s loud noise and lack of zoom function, in order to increase or decrease the size of the image, you must move the projector.

With a price less than $100 the AuKing mini projector provide more than enough value for its level of quality. It produces high quality, well-defined and bright images. It is very compact, portable, lightweight projector and would be Ideal for travelling, camping or to watch movies in your backyard.
The AuKing has just 2600 lumens of brightness, so you may have to darken the room during the day. In the dark environment or when the lights are off, the quality of the video-projector is excellent and exhibits its maximum potential.
Overall, the AuKing is a superb low cost mini projector which can easily fit into a backpack.
